My Story

My story may be surprising, but for you, I’ll keep it short ;)

Growing up just outside of Chicago, I had a pretty awesome childhood. Since I had the opportunity to go to multiple schools, and live in a lot of different houses, I had the rare childhood of getting to experience so many different aspects of life at a young age. At 18, I spent my first year of college in Tennessee, then moved back to Chicago area to finish school at a community college for PTA. But, before I could finish, I met my wonderful husband. In March of 2018, this stranger added me on Facebook, and in May of that same year, he flew out from Pennsylvania to take me on our first date, skydiving! After we met, we knew that we had found the one. So, without wanting to continue long distance, December 1, 2018, we got married! Now, we live in Lancaster, PA, have a wonderful English Lab, and have never been happier!(Pretty sappy, huh? lol)

But, why photography?

Although I only picked up my first camera 4 years ago, I’ve always had a knack for wanting to find beautiful moments. And I think that’s because the small moments in life have always impacted me the most. The feeling of insane happiness the first time I met/hugged my husband at the airport, the nervousness as I got in the car for my first solo long drive to Tennessee, cuddling up with my family pet after an insanely stressful day in college , the still, small voice of the Lord putting me at ease when I thought peace wasn’t possible in that moment. These small moments had the biggest impact on my life, and when I look back at them, I think of all the details I loved about those memories. My husbands strong hands, the hot summer heat off the dashboard, the soft fur that looked like copper, my mind relaxing into such a peaceful state of relief. After a few different tries in other careers that I never felt satisfied in, I found myself trying out a camera. Then, before I knew it, I was 4 years in, sharing the moments I found most beautiful with those around me. With no plan of stopping, I have nothing but a fire in my soul to continue in this line of work!

My amazing husband has been such an incredible support since starting this business, I can’t even begin to explain how much I love this man. He pushes me to go beyond my comfort zone, while being my rock and stability when I feel I have none. The moments I love with him is what I strive to create and capture for my clients.

If any of my crazy story interests you, or if you want to make a friend that loves road trips, cool food, and new experiences, let’s connect! I love making friends, so let’s hang out ;)
